This unique collectible features an autographed canceled check entirely filled out and signed by Apollo 7 astronaut Don Eisele, dated November 14, 1986, and made payable to Amerifirst for $1300. Accompanying the check is a vintage NASA 8″ x 10″ color lithograph portrait of Eisele in fine condition, offering a personal and historical glimpse into the life of one of NASA’s pioneering astronauts.

Don Eisele was a U.S. Air Force Colonel, test pilot, and NASA astronaut selected in 1963. He served as the Command Module Pilot on Apollo 7, the first crewed flight of the Apollo program, which successfully tested spacecraft systems and broadcast the first live television from orbit. After retiring from NASA and the Air Force in 1972, Eisele became the Peace Corps Country Director in Thailand and later worked in private business. He logged over 4,200 flight hours, received the NASA Exceptional Service Medal, and was posthumously awarded the NASA Distinguished Service Medal. Eisele was inducted into the U.S. Astronaut Hall of Fame in 1997.
