Signed photo of Scott Carpenter – Mercury-Atlas 7 Astronaut, one of NASA’s original Mercury Seven and the second American to orbit the Earth. On May 24, 1962, Carpenter piloted the Aurora 7 spacecraft through three Earth orbits, reaching a peak altitude of 164 miles. His mission lasted nearly five hours and helped pave the way for future manned spaceflight. This signed photo captures a true pioneer of both space and sea exploration.

Other roles and achievements
Malcolm Scott Carpenter was not only an astronaut but also a naval aviator, test pilot, and aquanaut. After his historic spaceflight, he joined the U.S. Navy’s SEALAB II project, spending 30 days living on the ocean floor—making him the first person to explore both outer and inner space. He later contributed to the Apollo Lunar Module design and underwater EVA training. Carpenter also authored novels and his memoir For Spacious Skies, and worked as a consultant in aerospace and oceanography.
