Alan Bean Apollo 12 astronaut – autographed photo 10″ x 8″ (25x20cm)

This autographed photo features Alan Bean, the lunar module pilot of Apollo 12 and the fourth person to walk on the Moon. During the 1969 mission, Bean and mission commander Pete Conrad explored the lunar surface, conducted scientific experiments, and helped expand humanity’s understanding of space. He later commanded the Skylab 3 mission in 1973, setting endurance records and pushing the boundaries of long-duration spaceflight

Before joining NASA, Bean served as a U.S. Navy test pilot and earned a degree in aeronautical engineering. Selected as part of NASA’s third astronaut group in 1963, he flew two historic missions and spent over 69 days in space. After retiring from NASA in 1981, Bean pursued a second career as a painter, using actual lunar dust in his textured artworks to depict scenes from his space missions and honor fellow astronauts.
