Astronaut Edward Gibson – Signed 10″ x 8″ Photo with COA

Celebrate the pioneering spirit of space science with this signed 10″ x 8″ portrait of Edward Gibson, captured in his NASA flight suit. As one of NASA’s first scientist-astronauts, Gibson brought deep expertise in engineering and solar physics to the frontier of human spaceflight.

Gibson flew aboard Skylab 4, the third and final crewed mission to America’s first space station. Alongside Commander Gerald Carr and Pilot William Pogue, he spent 84 days in space, setting a record for the longest crewed mission at the time. During the mission, Gibson conducted extensive solar observations using the Apollo Telescope Mount, performed three spacewalks totaling over 15 hours, and helped complete dozens of scientific experiments and Earth observations.

Space Shuttle Missions:

  • Skylab 4 – November 16, 1973 to February 8, 1974

Gibson also served on the support crew for Apollo 12, contributed to the design of Skylab, and later helped select and train future scientist-astronauts. His legacy includes not only his time in orbit but also his contributions to solar physics and space program development.

Add this signed portrait to your collection and honor the scientists who turned data into discovery—while floating 270 miles above Earth.
